It was bad but I left it there because it was true that I am whiny. Promise I'll try to work on that. If I knew how to edit that thing down I would but I will just leave it.
We got HBO for free last weekend and recorded the last part of Big Love. I never watched a lot of that show but the end was bad. Why kill the husband off? It just seemed wrong and then over someone's grass. Does anyone else think they had way to much drama on that show and that no one who is actually poly is anything like that?
Things are okay here and I hope you all are doing good too.

ReplyDeleteI'm guessing you never watched the whole seasons of Big Love, So of course you wouldn't get it.
ReplyDeleteThe sisterwives had been falling apart and it was looking like the family was going to crumble. Everyone thinks the husband keeps the family together, but having Bill get killed and then showing that the sisterwives stayed together even after he died, shows that they can survive anything.
As for the grass issue, that was just an excuse. The neighbor has been basically falling apart mentally the whole season, it finally came to an end.
You'd have to be a devoted watcher for all the seasons to really truly understand the way it ended.
They had alot of drama, because drama makes for good TV and because someone Poly families are full of drama. I know my family is and our drama makes us stronger, even though for a moment it tears us up.
Megan, sooo glad Danny is doing so well and he is going to only get better from here on out. Give him a big hug for me.

Watch all the seasons, you will understand then. :)
ReplyDeletehopefully no-one things Big Love is exactly like what polygamous families are like - any more than they think 'days of our lives' is exactly what monogamous people are like.
ReplyDeleteAfter all it is TV and it has to be interesting to watch. And I did enjoy watching it. It also threw up someinteresting points like that which was quoted above...
"The sisterwives had been falling apart and it was looking like the family was going to crumble. Hopefully that is a question you will never have to ask in real life though.
