Yay! It is Friday! I love going to the new school but I will be so happy when the book part is done. I know I am not learning anything that is new for most people but a lot of it is new for me. I didn't know that tomatoes are supposed to be treated like raw meat in the kitchen and I didn't know a lot of things about food safety. There is a lot more to learn and I guess it is good I am learning all of this since I cook for the family.
Macy's wedding is tomorrow and I am Maid of Honor which is really cool. She is just having me stand there with her so it is not like it is a big wedding party. Steve is friends with Peter and will be standing there for Peter as Best Man.
Macy is wearing Lisa's wedding dress and it will be a church thing and then the next day we have the monthly Church Sunday and that will be at Pastor Jeff's home. It will be a big party weekend and the nice thing is not a lot of cooking at home and not a lot of kitchen cleaning to do. I love all the time with everyone from the church and it will be fun.
I am just going to stop there because I have a lot to do tonight. Everyone have a nice weekend!

Love your blog and your honesty. It is a huge help to those who want to succeed in creating a poly family of their own. Also garlic and carrot mashed potatoes sounds interesting. I'll have to try that.
ReplyDeleteI also love your blog and have been blurking forever. Being honest is so refreshing, and I can't wait to hear that you are pregnant. Thank you so much for your insight and proving that unconventional marriages can be amazing. Hope you have a great time sweetie. Love you lots.
ReplyDeleteyet another barely legal "bride" lured in ....
ReplyDeleteExcuse me, but if I remember right Macy is in her late 20s and completely legal. Seriously Demoiselle, if you don't agree with the lifestyle and you think Megan is fake. Then stop reading and polluting the comments. If it bothers you that much, then go join a Polygamy hating support group, there are tons of them, so go jump on that boat. I can assure you the readers here are here cause they either live the life, want too, or support it.
ReplyDeleteSeriously Demoiselle back the heck off and shut up.
Megan, Sorry but I was getting sick of reading her or his or its crap. Anyways, I hope Macy had a lovely wedding and I hope your school is getting easier.
~Heather
Women are entitled to the same rights men are. When you tell women that they are not entitled to have multiple husbands, but men are entitled to multiple wives, because "God says it is so" is simply WRONG. Polygyny was designed for one reason - to benefit men. Grow up ladies.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it demoiselle, but it is not growing up,as you put it, it is nothing but diatribe from a hatefull ignorant atheist who can't stand to be happy or see someone else in a happy relationship. I fully agree with heather. find somewhere else to spew your hate.
ReplyDeleteIf you can not or will not understand that God had commanded that man is the head of the household and woman was purposely taken from the rib of man so she may have an equal but seperate sharing of that household which God also commanded. Then God commanded that both man and woman should be subservent to each other to love and respect each other and to share the responsibilities and commanded. You obviously can't accept mans roll in life and have great hatrid for man and feel woman is superior. Everything which is against God's plans.
get lost and then get over your superior atitude.
Megan, I'm so glad that you're continuing your education and learning marketable skills. As the mother of a 20-year-old daughter, I very much want to see her happily married (as you are), but also want her to be able to financially support herself and use her God-given talents & interests. You go, girl!
ReplyDeleteAnd can you share some recipes with us? Garlic & carrot mashed potatoes sounds yummy as well as nutritious!
Excuse me but don't blame atheism for Demoiselle's behaviour, what is wrong here is this desire to stand in public judgement of another persons lifestyle, it is extremism and that is bad regardless of the belief system of whomever is doing it. I do not believe anything you have just said cmpdom67, but I am a full supporter of anyone to choose the lifestyle that they feel will fulfill their needs, including Megan!
ReplyDeleteI am at a loss as to why one day Demoiselle would say that Megan is fake and the next say 'a barely legal bride has been lured in'
Make up your mind, either this is all fake or it is all real, you can't pick and choose depending on which would be the insult du jour.
It is rude and unwarrented. Personally I believe in CHOICE ok? Polyandry doesn't bother me but it is not FOR me. So get off your high horse about growing up (better yet, take your own advice) and accept that not everyone makes their choices in a way you can understand, we don't fit into your little patriarchy submissive niche that you are want to see us in. Megan made a life that was for her.
Shame on you.
On a side note about the polyandry, I don't think I could handle two husbands. OMG, one is a handful already, two would have me pulling my hair out and screaming in the loony bin. lol. Like Natja said, its not for me, I don't mind it and heck it might work for some woman, but not for me. Thanks, but no thanks. lol
ReplyDeletewow, if those mean notes start to bother you, you can always moderate notes, and just delete the ones that are obviously there just to start problems.
ReplyDeletegarlic and carrot mashed potatoes does sound really good, i love garlic and mashed potatoes and carrots so i might have to talk my boyfriend into making those sometime.
I'm basically agree with Natja. Demoiselle appears to have a screw loose, and it has nothing to do with religion or the lack of it. Cmpdm67 talks about God all the time, and his writings are devoid of God.
