Thank you to everyone for their thoughts about the passing of my mom. I really appreciate that so many people who really don't know me that well would care so much! You're all very wonderful people!
We spread my mom's ashes on the mountain up behind our ranch and it was crazy to walk back to the house after that and know that her whole life and who she was is just over. At least she got to see her grandchildren and that's a good thing.
I will admit still having mixed feelings. I wish I were more upset but my mom was more or less not around anymore after she met meth and meth was the love of her life. We had some nice moments the past few years but in the middle of it all she would lie and I think she even stole from me the last time she was at the house. Somewhere along the line I will either let it go or just move on.
At home we've had some changes. Christie is going to be away on work most of the time for a while so I'm actually the senior wife around the house most of the time now and that's weird. Steve is home a lot these days and we also added our helper Amy to the family and she and Steve are working on a baby. Steve is working on that same thing with me and Cydne, too. It won't be long before there's news from someone!
Life at the ranch is good. We sold off some of the bison herd and got $4.55 a pound and that was pretty awesome. We had a good calving season so we're actually up by almost ten head even after the sale so next year looks pretty good, too!
We put in 30 apple trees this week and we're hoping that they make it through the winter and maybe we'll have apples in a few years. Next year we'll put up a deer fence to stop the critters from eating the leaves and fruit before they show up bot for right now they just need to grow.
I got my first dental crown and that was actually nice. I didn't realize how much pain I was in from my tooth until the dentist fixed it. My left side of my mouth had swollen up so it was dentist time and he said it was a bad filling and the good news was it didn't need a root canal. My lesson is to go to the dentist more often.
We've been getting a LOT of contacts from people in the media wanting to do programs on poly people and we've been saying no. We don't want the attention. I guess it's thing with the media right now.
It's been a long time since I really wrote too much and it would be nice to answer any questions if anyone has them. So ask away!

My mom died.
I found out this week that my mom died back in March. It was drugs. She was 47 and I can't believe she's gone. I thought she was doing better and was keeping clean but I guess that was just something she was saying to me.

Just a quick post before I got to get going!
Our helper Amy moved in on Wednesday and OMG has she made a difference! So wonderful to have an extra pair of hands in the house! And she is probably staying on as wife #4 and that will be wonderful!
Both Steve and Christie are gone on work but we get Christie back in a couple weeks and that will be nice. Steve is busy for the summer and that is a very good thing because the oil business just stopped and really hasn't come back yet.
No baby news for now mostly because Steve hasn't been here. The family is doing fine. My little Patty got her first pair of glasses and she's having fun seeing things for the first time that she couldn't see before. It's been fun to be with her and discover the world all over again!
Not much poly news. Have to say I am disappointed that poly isn't legal yet but I guess I have to be patient.
I have two nice friends I am pen pals with and they make me think of things that I don't think I've ever shared here:
1. Kitchen Bouquet is an amazing thing to have for making tasty beef/bison/pork gravies!!!
2. Being a nanny is a great way to learn about having a family of your own!
3. And a lot of people are talking about politics and it's sad that the three people running are the best we can do. So our choices are the guy with the weird hair, the crazy old man who wants to try communism, and the lady who has AWFUL taste in clothes and then spends CRAZY money so she can look like a Romulan from Star Trek!!!
We all need to pray for our country!

Questions from Richard
Hi there!
I checked the blog and found some questions and will answer them in a moment. Steve is away on work and so is Christie so Cydne and me are having some time together and it's been kind of nice. Hope you're all doing well!
Okay so here are the questions and my answers.
1. Was your first time with Steve nonconsensual or semi-consensual? I get the idea you're not 100% into it.
It's complicated. I wanted to do it, I said I would, and I was scared. Pretty normal from what everyone tells me so I don't think it was anything but just a normal time with my husband.
2. What do you think of childbirth and pregnancy after doing it as much as you have?
The whole thing never stops being a miracle to me!!! It's always crazy when I find out I'm pregnant and then it's amazing when I get to meet this new person in my life for the first time!
3. Do you ever get jealous when Steve is with another wife?
Sometimes. I'd be lying if I said anything else.
4. Will there be a new fourth wife?
Pretty safe to say yes.
5. Is Steve working or is he off work like most oil field workers these days?
He is working but it was nice having him home so I'm looking forward to winter again when he'll be here a lot.
6. If you had not chosen poly what do you think you would be doing with your life at age 26?
Drugs like my parents maybe? A loser job? College was never going to happen so maybe the best would be a job somewhere and maybe meet someone.
7. What do you think about when you're having sex? Is it all passion or what?
Just had the same kind of thought in a letter I wrote to a friend. Sometimes I enjoy it and I get into it and other times it is something I do because it is something I am supposed to do. Sometimes there's passion and other times it's like brushing your teeth. I mean I love being close with Steve but sometimes it's just something I do for him and not really much for me.

Good afternoon everyone!
I had a couple requests for an update so here it is.
We'll start with saying that I am purposefully not saying too much with the children because we're worried about their privacy both now and years from now. With everything on the internet lasting forever we are afraid that the children might have problems as adults if their history comes up. It's just the way things are.
Steve is at home all the time now. The work he had building new locations in the oilfields is over at least until oil prices go up again and we all know they will. But for now he is at home every day and that's been really nice. He's out on the ranch getting a lot of things done like a couple new wells and grading and paving a new road to the back of our property. He paved the two mile road from the main road to the house and it's really nice. It's tons smoother than the local roads around here and it's fun to drive on! The kids love having him home all the time and I think they're all used to the idea that he's not going to have to leave for work anytime soon.
Christie is buried in her work and when she is done she and I are going to drive to Arizona for her to do a little business in Prescott but then we're going to see Sedona, the Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas before we come home! I've never seen those places before and it should be fun! Cydne is staying home with all the children and the babies and we have a helper coming in to help out for the nine whole days we're gone! I LOVE my children but the thought of just getting to be me and not "MOMMY!!!" for nine days seems amazing! I will post some pictures when we get back!
Cydne is doing fine and has been having fun starting her own garden this year. I am still doing my quilting work and cooking every day. Christie is mostly busy with work but is trying to read when she can. Steve works all the time but he's also been practicing his shooting more just because he says he is out of practice.
With Steve home I expect all three of us women will have baby news before too long. Christie especially wants another baby this year and both Cydne and I just know it won't be long before we start making plans for new babies in 2017.
That's really about everything that is going on for right now. Just one more thing...
I had a message from a documentary producer and while we will not be doing this I did want to share his very nice letter in case anyone wanted to talk to him about helping him:

Questions from Jay D. and answers from Megan!
I got this in email just now and wanted to answer it before I went outside! My answers are in blue!

I am considering entering into the poly lifestyle. I am getting somewhat serious with a woman who will become my first wife. We are both very excited and sincerely want to pursue this as a lifestyle.
I have a few practical questions.
How many wives and children are in your family currently? Am I correct in that it is currently You, Christie, and Cydne?
Yes, it's Christie, Cydne, and myself. Christie currently has four children, Cydne has two, and I have six.
What kind of vehicle(s) does Steve own to cart you all around in? does he have a big 15 passenger van or something?
Funny you ask because the one vehicle we don't have is a big van! We almost never go out all of us at the same time so this has never really been a big problem. And we have trucks and SUV's that can all get around in the snow.
Are any females currently pregnant in your family? or actively trying to get that way?
No one is pregnant right now but both Christie and Cydne are working on it and I imagine one of them will be expecting some time soon!
How large is the home you live in? How many bedrooms, baths, living spaces, etc. What are the sleeping arrangements for the adults and the children usually? How large is the farm you live on? What kind of crops & animals do you raise? Does the farm turn a profit? Or is it just kind of a hobby?
We have a ranch that has a few buildings and a guest house. Right now no one is living in the guest house so we have enough room in the main house for everyone. The kids share rooms and sometimes so do the adults! (-:
We have a ranch and about two acres of it is for a farm. It's mostly for us but we give away the excess to people at church. We have been running bison for a few years now and they're tons easier to take care of than cattle and you don't have to worry about them with the cold and predators as much. The ranch turns a profit or we wouldn't be doing it!
Have you and Steve and the sisters discussed how many kids would be too many? Is there ever a point where Steve might stop wanting to have more babies just because the house is full, or for financial reasons?
Nope.
Do all you sister wives, and Steve all own a legal share in the house and property? How is this handled legally and with the family finances? Was there some kind of prenuptial agreement that had arrangements for if the unthinkable happened (Like Macy & Shari leaving).
Everyone of the adults has an equal share in everything and like when Macy left she got 20% which was almost all of our cash. The same thing happened when Shari left but there were other things she took when she left.
Do any of your sisters work or do anything to make money? Or is this 100% Steve’s department?
Christie does tax stuff on the side and I cook and cater sometimes if there is work but Steve handles all the important things like the house, bills, and etc.
